Generic Bug Pokemon Dump by nelsinios Generic Bug Pokemon Dump by nelsinios
THESE ARE CONCEPT DESIGNS - OFFICIAL ART IS YET TO COME

I've decided to share my concept designs with you guys and hopefully we can discuss what you love, like, dislike or even hate! D:

Anyway, here's a dump of generic bug Pokemon concepts for the first and even the second generation for the R.D. Saga.

Here they go from numerical order.

1. Centisalt - Bug/Fighting type. Jap name is likely to be Karakiburi. This guys existed since 2006 but has had its design revised many times, such as now! Is native to the region of JUMMON, the region where PeridotValley & ZirconGalaxy take place, so its part of the 2nd generation.

Based off a centipede with karate characteristics.

Will evolve 2 more times.

2. Crysting - Bug/Ice. No Jap name yet. I'll probably leave that to Cascade at the moment. Crysting's had some history. Previously known as Zapug in White Rain and Shining Garden and been revised to be part ice type to fit with the region layout of Edaskia. Part of the first generation of fakemon.

Based off a row of icicles immitating a caterpillar.

Will evolve two more times.

3. Redow - Bug/Dark type. No Jap name yet. This guy's been in a sketchbook since 2006 (well girl. it'll probably just be a Female Pokemon) and hasn't been revised as much as Centisalt. native to Edaskia so will be debuting in the first generation.

Based off a red widow. Will evolve once more.

4. Larvolt - Bug/Electric. No Jap name yet. This guy's pretty new compared to the others, he's been around since 2008 and will be native to JUMMON, as a polar opposite to Centisalt.

Based off a honeypot ant & a lightbulb. Will evolve two more times.

i'm favouring 2 and 4, one just looks abit like a generic bug, nothing very special about it especially the fact it's brown puts me off it. with 2 i'm not sure if i'm a fan of the lips, looks abit jynx-like and not like a bug XD

Personally I think Redow looks sweet! I think keeping it just female is a good idea haha. Poor male Redow's would look like drag queens all the time.
Keep these drawings up!

Oh jeez, "Larvolt"? Now everyone's going to accuse me of ripping you off... XP

Centisalt is my favorite of the four. Redow is an interesting concept but I don't like the design much, myself. Seems... odd somehow. I dunno.

lol i dont mind if you call yours larvolt. i remember i named an old fakemon larvolt years n years n years ago on a really old forum.

thank you for your honesty. i believe redow isn't the quality of design where it should be atm, so im still working on it.

These all look amazing, doubt I could do anywhere near this level, at least for many years. Though Redow is a little strange, I personally wouldn't recommend it without having a male counterpart to it, like a bug version of the nidos.
